ABOUT US
WOODLINE TIMBER INDUSTRIES has, over time, become
a specialist South African Producer and exporter of specially
treated pine timber poles.
Originally intergrated within the greater Hickson Group,
the timber treatment plants became Woodline Timber
Industries in 1988 after a successful buy out bid by the
Management. two years later Murray & Roberts
acquired a substantial interest in the Company and shortly
thereafter assumed complete control, operating it successfully until
2001.
Currently part of the Steinhoff International Group -
A top (40) listed company on the Johannesburg's Stock
Exchange, Woodline is an important division within the
Steinhoff South African structure, operating as part of the
Steinhoff Southern Cape operation.
Processing plants are located at Kuils River, Kareedouw and Great
Brak River.
Supplied with most of its timber from the Forestry Stewardship Council's (FSC)
certified plantations of "Pinus Radiata", from which Woodline
manufactures a range of industry specific products.

- poles and stakes for agricultural use - fencing, trellising, orchard supports
- rounded poles for
playground structures, guardails, log cabins.

All Woodline’s products are
manufactured in accordance with the relevant SABS
specifications and are all treated with the following
chemicals:
- Creosote
- CCA Tanalith or
- Tanalith Weatherwood
These treatments would be dependent on varying customer
requirements and specifications. Stringent quality control
measures has assured the awarding of the internationally
recognized ISO9001/: 2000 accreditation.
Export products are carefully selected and then
manufactured in accordance with our customer’s exacting
requirements.
